PRAWN FRY

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Prawns – ¼ kg
  2. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  3. Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  5. Pepper powder – 1tsp
  6. Oil – for frying
  7. Salt-to taste

METHOD:

1.Clean and wash the prawn properly.

2.Add ginger garlic paste,chilli powder,turmeric powder,pepper powder and salt.

3.Marinate it for 1 hour, after 1 hour,heat oil in the pan for frying prawns,add prawns.

4.Saute it for 2 minutes, no need to add water(water already present in the prawn is enough to cook it).

5.Cook for 10-15 minutes, stir in between,still if you notice water,increase the flame,and stir it till water goes.

6.Now delicious prawn fry is ready. Serve it as sidedish.

BEANS PORIYAL

INGREDIENTS:

1.Beans-1/4 kg

2.Onion-1

3.Green chillies-2

4.Coconut(grated)-1/4 cup

5.Salt-to taste

6.Mustard seeds-1 /2 tsp

7.Urad dhal-1 tsp.

8.Curry leaves-5 leaves

9.Oil- 1 tsp

METHOD:

1.Wash the vegetable and chop it into small pieces.

2.Heat the pan, add oil,add mustard seed,wait till it crackles,add urad dhal,curry leaves,onion and chillies.Fry till onion turns light golden color.

3.Now add beans and salt. Mix well,sprinkle some water to cook the beans.

4.Close the pan with a lid.cook it in low flame.

5.After beans is cooked,add grated coconut to it, remove from stove.

6.Serve hot with rice and kulambu.

PRAWN MASALA

Ingredients:

1.Prawns-1/4 kg.

2.Onion(chopped)-3

3.Tomato(chopped)-3

4.Ginger garlic paste-3 tsp

5.Red chilly powder- 1 tsp.

6.Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp.

7.Coriander powder-2 tsp.

8.Oil-3 tsp

9.Curry leaves-5

10.Coriander leaves-for garnishing

11.Salt-As required

Method:

1. Clean the prawn and keep it aside.

2. Heat the pan with oil ,curry leaves,add chopped onion ,sauté it,add ginger garlic paste,add chopped tomatoes,sauté till oil separates from it.

3.Add chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder ,salt and prawn to the above sauted.Mix well.

4.Turn the stove to low flame.close the pan with a lid.(no need to add water)

5.After 5 minutes ,again open and mix well. then close the lid.

6.Then cook for 10 minutes. Remove from flame. Garnish it with coriander leaves.

7.Serve hot with rice.

CHICKEN FRY / CHICKEN VARUVAL

INGREDIENTS:

1.Chicken-1/4 kg

2.Ginger garlic paste-2 tsp

3.Red chilli powder-2 tsp

4.Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp

5.Garam masala powder-1 tsp

6.Egg-1

7.Corn flakes flour-2 tsp

8.Lemon juice-2 tsp

9.Salt-as needed

10.Oil- for frying

11.Red food color-1/2 tsp.

12.Coriander leaves-for garnishing

METHOD:

1.Clean the chicken and wash it properly.

2.Add ginger garlic paste,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masla powder,egg,corn flakes flour,lemon juice,salt,red food color to the chicken.

3.Marinate it for 1-2 hours.

4.Heat the pan with oil, when oil is hot enough ,add the marinated chicken, deep fry it in a medium flame.

5.When Chicken  becomes crispier and turns golden brown color,remove it from the flame.

6.Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it.

NETHILI MEEN FRY / ANCHOVIES FRY

Ingredients:

Nethili Meen/Anchovies-  ¼ kg

Red chilli powder-2 tsp

Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder -1/4 tsp

Maida/plain flour- 3tsp

Black pepper powder-1tsp

Lemon Juice – 1 tsp

Salt-to taste

Oil-for frying fish

METHOD:

1.Clean the fish by removing its head,wash it properly.

2.Add chilli powder,turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste,pepper powder,lemon juice,flour ,salt to the fish and keep it aside for 1 hour.

3.After an hour,Heat the pan ,add oil, put the fish.Turn the stove to medium flame.

4.Fry both the sides. Now Nethili fish fry is ready.
